Scientists on Stage
workshop for DPTI PhD's, postdocs and PDEng |
|
Whether it is a talk at a conference, a networking event, or a job interview, more of our professional communication is now happening via a computer screen. To support our PhDs, postdocs, and PDEng's in this time of continued online activities, the DPTI has offered the workshop "Scientists on Stage", designed and facilitated by Dr. Maria Sovago of Stralia.
Two cohorts of 20 participants attended the online workshop on 10 June and 24 June 2021. Participants gained a renewed awareness of the importance of presenting their results online, of reaching and connecting with others even through computer screens, and of engaging in an online conversation and networking. |

“I think that it is a valuable course to attend, especially to people that are less extrovert.” Silvia Polverini, PDEng
“The topics I found more interesting were about conversation structure, body language, voice, and how to approach different networking platforms for different purposes. Additionally, Maria’s good mood and energy were contagious!” Ana Carolina Alves, PDEng |
